Partner towns and villages
Development of relations with towns and villages abroad
Since 1998 Jiřetín pod Bukovou has been actively developing twinning partnerships with the towns of Wleñ and Mciwojów in Poland.
Exchange visits for young people and sports and cultural events help to build up trust between the citizens of partner villages and have led people to develop personal friendships and stay in touch.
Photographs from these regular exchange visits can be seen in the photo gallery. This shot was taken when our children were staying in Wleñ in 2004.
